Frequently asked questions
För att hålla denna information så aktuell som möjligt publiceras den engelska delen på de svenska sidorna.
Q:What is STP. and how do I use it in FlowCalc32 ?
A:SPT is used for Gas flow.
As gas is compressible it´s an old tradition to express gas
flow at a reference condition.
The STP standard condition used by FlowCalc32 CEs is seletable by
the user to apply to the standard you are using in your area. You
may also select desired temperature and pressure units.
This means that values given for density
and volumetric flow are expressed at your selected temperature and
pressure.
By checking or unchecking the STP checkbox, FlowCalc converts values
for density and flow between operating condition and at STP reference
condition instantly.
This STP checkbox is checkable when media is gas and a volumetric
unit is selected.
All volumetric flow units may be marked, to be at STP conditions.
Directly conversion between mass and volumetric flow units is also
directly available.
Q: Why cant I see the STP selection checkbox?
A: The NPT selection checkbox will visible when media is gas and a volumetric flow unit is selected.
Q: FlowCalc gives message: Files corrupted. What shall I do to recover.
A: Older versions of FlowCalc 32 gives
the message: "files corruped" when time has been manipulated,
for a not registered program.
The program will be set in normal state by purchasing a license
and entering the registration key. It´s only some special
code required for running the trial that has been corrupted. You
may recover from this state by downloading newer versions of FlowCalc32
which does not have timed out demo mode.
Q: The FlowCalc32 does not work in the one month demo mode for me. I get the error that says the clock has run out. I downloaded and installed the same day, and no go.
A: 2002-Jan-13
Some trial users has had problem with the time lock in FlowCalc32
version 2.02 or earlier. This message is given if the system clock
has been changed more then one month after installation.
Solution: download a new copy of FlowCalc32 CE. (Version
2.03 or later)
This program may bee installed over previous versions 2.xx of FlowCalc32
CE. Uninstall the old version of FlowCalc32 CE first if you are
planning to make an installation in an other disk or directory.
The latest FlowCalc32 CE programs does not use expiring trial time.
Users must however purchase a license after one month trial.
